The most famous coastal section of this area, due to its beautiful underwater landscape. The sea floor consists out of the typical black sand, out of which massive basalt cliffs rise. The light slope reaches to a shelf, which then drops straight down to a depth of about 25 meters. There the black sand is dominant again, though with a stronger downward slope.

This beach is almost connected to Playa Nueva and can best be reached by following the footpath south at Playa Nueva. The good waves have made it very popular with surfers.

Puntallana

This black sand beach is considered to be one of the island´s most beautiful. With its roughly 450 meters length it gives way to consistently surfable swells and is thus very popular amongst the surfer community. Access takes place via a long stretch of well maintained stairs from the parking lot nearby.
Caution: Extremely strong currents - swimming NOT advised!

Las Monjas is the only official nude beach in La Palma, situated 1.5 kilometers south of Puerto Naos. This nice bay is only accessible by foot and offers no shade.

Black sand beach, 2 kilometers south of Puerto Naos, on the main street to El Remo. This beach is very popular amongst locals and offers a number of amenities.

Located on the southern tip of Santa Cruz de La Palma, this beach stretches along a large part of the Breña Alta coastal access. From the beach promenade stairs and ramps lead down to the beach.
