La Palma Diving Reviews and Ratings Guide

La Palma is an island of extremes: Volcanic eruptions have created an absolutely unique submarine ecosystem. Fascinating lava towers, archways, caves and other formations can be found, especially along the steep coastal stretches, in up to 300 meters depth.

The subtropical sea which surrounds the island is considered to be a diver´s paradise, as it offers attractions for all difficulty levels. The Canary Islands feature the youngest sea floor in all of Spain, which in itself gives way to many unique diving experiences.

Especially important is the light penetration in the waters around La Palma. Due to the crystal clear waters, light can reach up to 50 meters deep. The average temperature is around 20C in winter and around 25C in Summer, thus creating optimal conditions for divers all year around.
